  • Women’s Track Lands Seven On PBC All-Academic Team

    AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University men’s outdoor track & field team had three student-athletes named to the 2019 Peach Belt Conference All-Academic team, the league office announced on Thursday afternoon. Augusta sophomore Alyisha Anderson, juniors Rachel Hammesfahr, Mallory Howard, McKenzie Knudsen, Sinead O’Bryant, and seniors Sarah Hossack and Kiana Smith earned All-Academic status for the Jaguars.

    NEW ORLEANS, La. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the All-Region honorees for the 2019 NCAA Division II outdoor track & field season on Tuesday afternoon. Augusta University senior Kiana Smith and sophomore Micah Weathers represented the Jaguars on the list. Smith earned the award for both the heptathlon and the high jump and Weathers for the 5000 meters.

Four different Jaguars were named All-PBC for finishing top three in their respective events, April 18-20, in Daytona Beach, Fla.

    DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Augusta University men’s and women’s outdoor track & field teams head to Daytona Beach, Fla., April 18-20, for the 2019 Peach Belt Conference Championships. For the first time, the event moves to one of the league's associate members as Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will serve as host and defend their men's and women's titles from 2018. The competition begins on Thursday morning with men's and women's multi events followed by field finals in the early afternoon and track events at 6:00 pm.

    ATLANTA, Ga. – The Augusta University women's outdoor track & field team traveled to Atlanta, Ga. this weekend to compete in this year's Emory Invitational, hosted by Emory University. Augusta took 17th out of 30 teams with 20 points. Emory won the meet with 114 points. They were followed by Clayton State in second (70 points) and West Georgia in third (60 points).

Jaguar Madness will be held in Christenberry Fieldhouse beginning at 8:00 p.m. and will conclude with a CREW Movie Night – sponsored by the Jaguar Production Crew.

    NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. – The Augusta University women's and men's cross country and track and field teams will co-host the sixth annual AU Run for the GreenJackets 5K on Saturday, September 1 at SRP Park. The fundraiser to support the Jaguar cross country and track teams begins at 7:30 a.m.
