GRU Augusta Sits 15th After Round Two At BNC

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The GRU Augusta Jaguars moved to 15th place after the second round of 18 holes at the Bryan National Collegiate in Browns Summit, N.C., at the Bryan Park Golf Course on Saturday.

Hosted by UNC Greensboro and Wake Forest, the 18-team field battled high winds throughout round one and the same continued on Saturday on the par-72, 6,386-yard course. The GRU Augusta Jaguars, ranked No. 45 in the nation, shot a 318 (+30) in the second outing to sit 15th with one round remaining.

Eunice Yi is leading the Jaguars and is tied for 32nd overall with her round-two 80 (+8). Teresa Caballer Hernani is tied for 39th after she shot a 76 (+4) – the best for GRU Augusta in the second day of the event.

Sonya Knebel shot an 80 (+8) as well, and is currently knotted for 68th, while Josefine Nyqvist is tied for 71st and Jessica Haigwood 80th, with each posting 10-over 82's.

No. 12 Virginia and No. 13 Wake Forest are tied for first at 23-over par. Round three begins tomorrow, Sunday April 5 with the final 18 beginning at 8:15 a.m. Live scoring at Golfstat.com
