Best Performances of Former Augusta University Players in Pro Basketball

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Jaguars players who continue their career in pro basketball.

   #1. Keshun Sherrill (5'9''-PG-94, graduated '17, plays pro in Holland) led Den Bosch to a victory over the closely-ranked Zwolle (28-6) crushing them 89-63 in the Dutch Eredivisie in Thursday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Sherrill recorded 24 points in 30 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. New Heroes Basketball Den Bosch (26-8) is placed third in the Eredivisie. Sherrill has relatively good stats this year 13.1ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.5apg and 1.7spg in 35 games he played so far.

   #2. Experienced Ben Madgen (6'4''-G/F-85, graduated '10, plays in Germany) was the major contributor in a HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim's surprising victory against the second-ranked EWE Baskets (28-6) 99-87 in the German BBL last Sunday. Madgen recorded 15 points. HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim (9-25) is placed 16th in the BBL. The Regular Season already ended. It's Madgen's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 14.2ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.6apg.

   #3. Greg Hire (6'7''-F-87, graduated '10, currently in Australia) contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Hawks (7-5) crushing them 86-62 in the Australian State League (second division) on Friday night. Hire had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 15 rebounds. He also added 8 assists and 3 steals in 34 minutes. Rockingham Flames (8-4) are placed third in SBL group. Hire has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 19.2ppg, 9.2rpg, 9.7apg, 2.8bpg and 2.8spg in six games.

   #4. Ben Purser (6'7''-F-90, graduated '11, plays pro in Australia) could not help Perry Lakes Hawks (15-3) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Purser's good performance his team were defeated 101-94 on the road by the lower-ranked Giants (#4) in the SBL group. He scored 10 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 5 assists. It's Purser's sixth season with the team. Purser has relatively good stats this year 12.3ppg, 6.2rpg, 5.9apg, 1.4bpg and 2.4spg.

   #5. Kyle Armour (6'0''-G-89, graduated '12, plays in Australia) was not able to help Lakeside Lightning (10-8) in their last game. Despite his good performance his team lost 82-88 in Morley to the much lower-ranked (#10) Eagles in the SBL group. Armour scored 14 points and added 3 assists in 31 minutes. Armour has very impressive stats this year 16.3ppg, 3.3rpg, 4.6apg and 2.4spg in 10 games.

   #6. Benjamin Ursich (6'6''-F-96, graduated '17, currently in Australia) was not able to secure a victory for Kilsyth Cobras in their game against Ballarat Miners in the Australian State League (second division). He did not beat the league record on Saturday evening. Ursich scored only 3 points. His team were badly defeated by 16 points 87-71. This season Ursich averages 6.5ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.5apg.
