Best Performances of Former Augusta University Players in Pro Basketball

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Jaguars players who continue their career in pro basketball.



   #1. Keshun Sherrill (5'9''-PG-94, graduated '17, plays pro in Holland) was the major contributor in a Den Bosch's victory against the league outsider BA Limburg (5-27) 89-72 in the Dutch Eredivisie on Thursday night. He recorded 19 points and had 3 steals in 24 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Sherrill's second season in pro basketball. New Heroes Basketball Den Bosch (23-7) is placed third in the Eredivisie. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Sherrill has relatively good stats this season 12.8ppg, 2.4rpg, 3.6apg and 1.7spg.

   #2. Experienced Ben Madgen (6'4''-G/F-85, graduated '10, plays in Germany) could not help HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim (7-20) in their last game. Despite Madgen's very good performance HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim lost 92-101 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#5) Brose Baskets. He was the top scorer with 22 points. Madgen has relatively good stats this year 14.6ppg, 4.7rpg, 1.8apg and 1.1spg in 25 games he played so far.

   #3. Garret Siler (7'0''-C-86, graduated '09, currently in Taiwan), who plays in the Taiwanese SBL was not able to help one of league's weakest teams KKL (18-18) in their game last Saturday. Despite his good performance KKL was defeated 74-63 by the higher-ranked Yulon Luxgen (#4). Siler recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 22 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks in 34 minutes. Siler has relatively good stats this season 15.0ppg, 16.2rpg, 1.2apg and 1.8bpg.

   #4. Ben Purser (6'7''-F-90, graduated '11, plays pro in Australia) led Perry Lakes Hawks to a victory against the second-ranked Wanneroo (4-1) 102-94 in the Australian State League (second division) on Saturday night. Purser recorded 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group SBL. Perry Lakes Hawks (15-3) are placed . But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Purser's sixth year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 11.5ppg, 6.3rpg, 5.8apg, 1.2bpg and 2.5spg in six games.

   #5. Kyle Armour (6'0''-G-89, graduated '12, plays in Australia) contributed to a Lakeside Lightning's victory against the tenth-ranked Tigers (3-4) 89-78 in the Australian State League (second division) in Friday night's game. Armour recorded 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in 37 minutes. Lakeside Lightning (10-8) is placed in SBL group. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Armour has relatively good stats this year 15.0ppg, 4.2rpg, 5.6apg and 1.2spg.

   #6. Benjamin Ursich (6'6''-F-96, graduated '17, currently in Australia) managed to help Kilsyth Cobras in a victory against the 16th-ranked Bendigo Braves 100-90 in the Australian State League (second division) last Saturday. He recorded only 4 points. This year Ursich averages 2.0ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.5spg in two games.
