Jags Snag Seventh At Bobcat Invitational

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Augusta University women's cross country team placed seventh out of 19 teams on Saturday morning at the Bobcat Invitational, hosted by Georgia College, at the Council Farm Course.

 

 

Florida State took home the team title with 42 points, Alabama-Huntsville grabbed second (54), Montevallo third (94), Georgia College fourth (127), and Emory fifth (170). Auburn Montgomery edged out Augusta for sixth place by four points.

 

Junior McKenzie Knudsen paced the Jaguars again and took fifth place overall with a time of 22:47.6. Second-year Jag Miranda Taylor earned 34th (24:37.1), junior Sinead O'Bryant 59th (25:23.4), Helen Rendich 63rd (25:31.1), Madison Congdon 71st (25:55.6), and Rachel Hammesfahr 93rd (27:30.5) to conclude the racers for Augusta.

 

Augusta hosts the Peach Belt Conference Championships on Saturday, Nov. 3 at Redcliffe Plantation in Beech Island, S.C. The men run an 8K at 9:00 a.m. and the women follow with a 5K at 10:15 a.m.
