AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University sophomore Micah Weathers has been named the women's cross country Peach Belt Conference Runner of the Week.
This is the second PBC Runner of the Week award for Weathers after claiming the title last season on Sept. 9, 2017.
Weathers was the top PBC runner at the Georgia Bulldog Invitational in Athens, Ga., on Saturday. The sophomore from Statham, Ga., ran the 5.5k course in 21:59.6, finishing 18th overall in a 78-runner field that featured four DI programs including Georgia and Georgia Tech. Weathers' finish helped the Jaguars edge defending PBC champion North Georgia by three points.
Augusta hosts the 2018 Jaguar Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 15 at Redcliffe Plantation State Historic Site.
