Jags Take Fifth To Start Season At Bulldog Invitational

ATHENS, Ga. – The Augusta University women's cross country team finished fifth at the 2018 Bulldog Invitational, hosted by the University of Georgia, at the UGA Golf Course in Athens, Ga.

 

The race was run on an approximate 1900 meter loop on the rolling terrain of the golf course. The women raced three loops for 5.5K.

 

The women placed fifth, with sophomore Micah Weathers leading the pack, placing in the top 20 overall at 18th in 21:59.6. She was followed by junior McKenzie Knudsen and graduate student Helen Rendich for second and third on the team, respectfully. AU sophomore Sinead O'Bryant, junior Rachel Hammesfahr, and freshman Madison Congdon also helped secure Augusta's spot at the Bulldog Invitational. 

 

The Augusta University women's and men's cross country teams host the 2018 Jaguar Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 15 at Redcliffe Plantation State Historic Site.
