Davis was given the 2014 One to Watch Award in cross country and received the Cross Country Leadership Award from 2015 to 2017. She was named the best distance runner for track and field in both 2015 and 2016. She plans to major in the medical field.

Head coach Adam Ward on Sarah Davis

"Sarah has a lot of potential and comes from an excellent program at Buford High School where she was coached by former Jaguar, Matthew Johnson. She had a little hiccup her senior year, but we feel confident she will be a solid piece to our team."

Madison Congdon will begin her freshman year at Augusta University after graduating in 2018 from Hart County High School in Hartwell, Ga. She lettered in cross country and track and field for all four years, while receiving scholar awards in each sport. Congdon was awarded the leadership and team captain awards and the Coaches Award in both cross country and track and field. She plans to major in early childhood education.

Head coach Adam Ward on Madison Congdon

"Madison hales from Hart County in Georgia and will give us some added depth on the cross country squad. She will advance into a solid runner in our program and we look forward to seeing her develop in her freshman year."

Helen Rendich was born in Reutlingen, Germany and attended Johannes Kepler Gymnasium for eight years before graduating in 2014. She is a 2018 graduate from Struttgart University in Struttgart, Germany where she competed in cross country and track and field. Rendich plans to attend Augusta University to study biostatistics.

Head coach Adam Ward on Helen Rendich

"Helen will be a graduate student for us and adds some experience and talent to help offset the big losses we had graduating four seniors. She is a long-distance specialist and I think will be a big boost to our team this fall as we seek our first women's team championship."

The three new signees will join the other five members of AU's women's cross country team this fall where they will begin the 2018 season in September.
