Keeper Leads Lady Jaguars

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Augusta State women's cross country team finished 16th Saturday in the Greater Louisville Classic.

Sophomore Holly Keeper paced the Lady Jaguars with a 16th-place effort and posted a time of 18:52.46. Claudia Nunez-Lopez was 88th, Lyndsey Nichols and Alicia Connolly were 109th and 112th, respectively and Angela Woodward was 136th.

The ASU men's squad finished 31st out of 34 teams. Freshman Dustin Rose led the Jaguars with a time of 26:44.30 and finished 103rd. Clay Holton and Rob Blackwelder, along with Joey Castillo and Mason Walker, were ASU's other counters.

Both the ASU men's and women's squads host the Jaguar Invitational next weekend at Blanchard Woods Park in Evans, Ga., beginning at 8:00 a.m.
