AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University volleyball head coach Sharon Quarles added six new student-athletes who have signed with the Jaguars and will compete in the upcoming 2019 season. The Jaguars signed junior-transfers Julie Archer, Kylie Martin, Nicolette Ramos, Kassie Till, sophomore Madison Malloch, and freshman Samantha Zittrauer.

The six new signees will join freshmen signees Nedu Evans, Julieanne Saliba, and Hanna Siefert, who were announced in December 2018.

Name: Julie Archer

Year: Junior

Position: Outside Hitter

Height: 5-10

Hometown / Previous School: Andale, Kan. / Colby Community College

"Julie was a highly sought after JUCO transfer," Quarles said. "We are excited that she decided to finish up her collegiate play at Augusta University. She is a solid six rotation right-side attacker, something we have not seen within our program before. We are going to definitely capitalize on her versatility and her skill set."

AT COLBY COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Named to All-Conference second team in 2018 and All-Conference first team in 2017 … Two-time Jayhawk Conference Player of the Week … Helped lead her team to a 24-7 season … Averaged 3.44 kills per set, .63 blocks per set, and 2.52 digs per set in her final season … Recorded a total of 725 Kills, 52 Aces, 463 digs and 107 blocks throughout her career.

"Madison comes to Augusta with three years of eligibility left along with a wealth of knowledge and experience under her belt, after being at Charleston Southern for two seasons," Quarles said. "She is a strong addition to our front row and to our roster. Standing at 6'3, the hitters, as well as opposing blockers, will have a lot to contend with going up against Maddison. We are excited to add her athleticism to our gym and watch her grow into a physical threat in the Peach Belt Conference."

"Kylie was looking for a school that could provide both an opportunity to continue competing with a competitive volleyball program and a school that offered Radiation Therapy," Quarles said. "Athletically, Kylie can go both ways, she is very capable to be both a six rotation outside and right side attacker for us and we will definitely explore both positions during the season. Kylie has a fast arm and can score on either pin. She will provide some much needed depth, so we do not rely so heavily on our middles for so much of our offensive production like we have in the past."

"Colette is the third player from FSCJ out of Florida in the last two years to join us," Quarles said. "She will be joining her former teammates Cheryke Brian-Garmos and Karla Rosario in sporting the navy and grey. Colette is a dynamic and explosive athlete who will step directly into the major roll of a six rotation outside hitter for the upcoming season. She brings a great volleyball IQ with her to our court."

Name: Kassie Till

Year: Junior

Position: Setter

Height: 5-8

Hometown / Previous School: Fort Wayne, Ind. / University of West Alabama

"Our first encounter with Kassie was when she was in our gym competing in a five set match-up of UWA and Augusta this past season in 2018," Quarles said. "She is a tremendous setter who is competitive, quick, and understands the game really well. It was with zero hesitation, when we knew she was departing from UWA, that we definitely pursued this setter who can easily command a 5-1 system. In addition to being able to run a very fast-tempo offense, she is also a solid threat while playing at the net. Kassie is an awesome addition to our team."

Height: 5-9

Hometown / Previous School: Savannah, Ga. / Savannah Christian High School

"It has been two years since we have gone after a freshman setter," Quarles said. "She is a solid incoming freshman setter that is going to learn and grow very quickly under the veteran setters that we already have on the roster. She is physically strong and can step into a 6-2 system right away with the potential of running a 5-1 system for us."
