AU Volleyball Set To Host Prospect Clinic December 16

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University volleyball team will be holding a prospect camp on Sunday, Dec. 16, in Christenberry Fieldhouse.

 

 

The clinic lasts from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is open to all girls in grades 9-12. Registration and check-in will begin at 10:30 a.m. The camp with consist of a campus tour followed by on-court sessions with Augusta head volleyball coach Sharon Quarles and assistant coach Kadijah Dickens.

 

Quarles, who led the Jaguars to their first every Peach Belt Conference Tournament title and second ever NCAA tournament appearance, has compiled a 413-290 (.587) career record in twenty years during four different stints as a head coach. She has recorded seven 20-win seasons. The Jaguars are fresh off a 24-8 record in the 2018 season where they won the conference tournament championship and reached the NCAA Southeast Regional.

Head Coach SHARON QUARLES

Quarles, the eighth head coach in the Jaguar Volleyball program, has compiled a 413-290 (.587) career record in twenty years during four different stints as a head coach. She has recorded seven 20-win seasons.

  • Twice named PSAC Coach of the Year
  • PSAC Rookie of the year (2003, 2004, 2005)
  • Back-to-back Maine Athletic Conference titles in (1999, 2000)
  • NAIA Region X Coach of the Year (1999)

 

Assistant Coach KADIJA DICKENS

Dickens is in her fifth season as the assistant women's volleyball coach for the Jags. Prior to coming to Augusta, she spent a season as the assistant men's and women's volleyball coach at Lees McRae College. Dickens played four years in the ACC at Wake Forest University. Dickens finished her four-year term ranking third on the program's all-time kills list. After graduating in 2012, she played volleyball professionally in Italy and recently served as a coach for All American Volleyball.
