AUGUSTA, Ga. – The annual Augusta University volleyball Pink Out match to raise awareness and support for the Georgia Cancer Center will take place on Friday, Oct. 26 for the Jaguars' home match in Christenberry Fieldhouse against the Francis Marion Patriots at 7:00 p.m.

All fans are encouraged to wear pink to the match! There will be opportunities for everyone to make a donation to assist in the battle against cancer. All proceeds go directly to the Georgia Cancer Center here at Augusta University.

Fans can make a solid donation or pledge an amount to donate per every Jaguar volleyball dig. For every dig the Jaguar volleyball team has in the match, money will be given directly back to the cancer center. The Georgia Cancer Center will have an educational display to provide information on promoting health, preventing cancer, and obtaining screening or cancer risk reduction services.

Attendees can also gather information on the Unite in the Fight Against Cancer, hosted by and supporting the Georgia Cancer Center at Augusta University on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Lucy C. Laney High School Football Stadium. Unite in the Fight Against Cancer is a unique 1.5 mile walk that will celebrate and honor all those who have been impacted by the disease. This event will represent all forms of cancer, with each participating individual/team selecting a cancer and wearing the corresponding color in honor or memory of a loved one or friend during the walk.
