Beck Named AVCA All-Region, Led Nation In Triple-Doubles

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University junior McKenzey Beck was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) all-region team, as announced on Wednesday morning.

 

Beck (Phoenix, Ariz.) joined the Jaguars this season as a junior-transfer from Glendale Community College and she led the nation in triple-doubles (12) for all of NCAA Division II. Ally Rohn of Palm Beach Atlantic tied Beck for the nation's top spot.

 

In her first season in the Peach Belt, Beck was a first team All-PBC selection and ranked third in the league in kills and points. The setter posted the fifth-most assists and ranked fourth in aces in the league. Beck booked 12 triple-doubles this season (kills, assists, digs) in her 30 matches played and 120 sets.

 

 All-Conference on Thursday night at the 2017 PBC Championship awards banquet. The conference awards were released on the eve of the PBC tournament, hosted by Georgia College, in Milledgeville, Ga.
