Fourth-Seeded Augusta Faces Lander In PBC Tournament Quarterfinal

MILLEDGEVILLE Ga. – The Augusta University women's volleyball team begins the postseason on Friday, Nov. 17 at the Peach Belt Conference Tournament, hosted by Georgia College, in Milledgeville, Ga. Augusta drew the fourth seed and will face fifth-seeded Lander at 1:30 p.m. in the quarterfinal match at the Centennial Center.

The Jaguars went 17-14 overall in the regular season and 6-6 in PBC play to earn the fourth seed in the tourney. Augusta swept Lander in both meetings this year and won by a score of 3-1 each time.

 

With seven volleyball teams in the PBC, Flagler gets a first-round bye as the top seed and will face the winner of the Jaguars versus the Bearcats. No. 2 USC Aiken will face No. 7 UNC Pembroke and No. 3 Georgia College takes on No. 6 Francis Marion in the other two quarterfinal showdowns.
