MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Augusta University women's volleyball team couldn't recover from an early scare and lost a 3-0 Peach Belt Conference match on Halloween night at Georgia College.
Augusta (16-12, 5-4 PBC) played its third straight road match at GC (18-5, 7-3 PBC) on Tuesday night and couldn't get the offense going. The Jags were held to under a .140 hitting percentage in the match and lost 25-16, 25-22, and 25-16.
Jags junior Savanna Gonzales led the team with nine kills, while Jessica Hedrick had six and Savanna Roy five. McKenzey Beck posted 19 assists and 13 digs and freshman Payton Murchie 15 digs.
Augusta plays at Flagler for a PBC match this Saturday, Nov. 4 in St. Augustine, Fla., at 2:00 p.m.
