McKenzey Beck Named Peach Belt Player of the Week

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University women's volleyball junior-transfer McKenzey Beck has been named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Thursday morning.

 

Beck (Phoenix, Arizona) did everything for the Jaguars in five matches last week. The junior setter averaged 3.45 kills per set while hitting .350 and added 4.30 assists and 2.20 digs per set. Beck had two triple-doubles on the week with 17 kills, 17 assists and 13 digs in a win over Belmont Abbey, followed by 10 kills, 17 assists and 10 digs against Valdosta State. She reached double-digit kills in four of the five matches and had six aces and six blocks. Her two triple-doubles are the only two in the PBC so far this season.

 

Beck leads the PBC with 115 total kills and is sixth in hitting percentage, fourth in assists, first in aces and 12th in total digs. She was named to USC Aiken Invitational All-Tournament team as well. 

 

The Jaguars begin Peach Belt Conference play on Friday, Sept. 15 when they host Francis Marion at 7:00 p.m. The next day, Augusta welcomes UNC Pembroke for another PBC match at 2:00 p.m. on Sept. 16.
