Augusta Takes Care Of UNC Pembroke, 3-0

PEMBROKE, N.C. – The Augusta University women's volleyball team met UNC Pembroke for the second time this season and won a 3-0 Peach Belt Conference contest on Friday night.

Augusta (14-9, 6-4 PBC) is now 5-4 on the road with the win and it was the second time they took down the UNCP Braves (2-24, 0-13 PBC) this season.

The Jaguars won three straight sets - 25-14, 25-22, and 25-22 in the conference victory.

Leading Augusta offensively were sophomores Blair Bolton with 11 kills and Savanna Gonzales with 10. Senior Jordan Bickett booked nine kills and seven digs and freshman Jessica Hedrick had seven kills, five digs, and four blocks.

Senior Catherine DeSilvester had 12 digs in the match and freshman Payton Murchie posted 40 assists and 10 digs.  

The Jaguars continue the weekend on the road at Francis Marion on Saturday, Oct. 29 for a 2:00 p.m. match.
