THE SIGNEES & WORDS FROM HEAD COACH SHARON QUARLES

#6        Rachel Windle     Major: Nursing

"Rachel brings a wealth of knowledge and play with her to GRU Augusta volleyball next year.  She is recruited as a middle hitter and outside attack and Rachel is going to provide added depth when it comes to our attackers. As a recruited athlete, she came across as a fierce competitor always looking to be fed the ball from her setters and creating shots around and over the block. She will definitely test the defensive skills sets of opposing teams next year. We are looking forward to working with her for the next two years as she majors in Nursing."

#7           Blair Bolton                         Major: Biology

"Blair currently plays for a club team out of Atlanta as a six-rotation player on the right side.  She has a huge upside as a recruit for us and we are looking forward to helping Blair expand and improve her game even more as a collegiate athlete. Blair will give us a different look as a "lefty" right side pin hitter. She will definitely provide some great height against opposing outside attackers and we feel if she comes in ready to go and works hard, she has enormous opportunities for playing time as a freshman."

#8           Bria Mays                              Major: Psychology

"Bria first attended Northern Michigan University where she redshirted her first season before she ended up at Kalamazoo Valley Community College and competed her next two seasons. At KVCC Bria was named first-team All-Conference and second-team All-City. Bria is a nice addition to the middle hitter position and she is going to allow us some interesting opportunities to run different options and tempos out of the middle. She is deceivingly quick and has a very nice vertical. Once the setters and Bria have a chance to do some work in the gym and focus on timing and placement, it is going to be fun to watch come game time."

#10         Jordan Bickett     Major: Exercise Science

"Jordan comes from a very good junior college out of Florida named Pasco-Hernando State College and she is a dynamic six-rotation outside attacker that we have been looking at for quite a while. Jordan earned NJCAA DII All-American second-team honors and was a NJCAA DII Region 10 Regional Tournament team selection. Last season she recorded 352 kills, 48 service aces, 196 digs and 75 blocks. She is athletic, versatile, and crafty with a high volleyball I.Q. She is very capable of swinging across the net which will allow for more options and attack sequences with all our hitters."

#18        JaNhea Beisner   Major: Education

"JaNhea registered 4.80 digs per set with the Manatees of the State College of Florida last season.  She has been an instrumental part of the success of SCF and was recognized as a top returning defensive specialist in the region for the manatees. We really like JaNhea's approach to the game.  She is use to running a two-person serve receive which will allow us to make adjustments in our serve receive formation if and when needed next season.  She will be a great addition as a "competitor" to our already strong defensive team of Catherine DeSilvester and Kali Boatwright."
