Volleyball Wins Peach Belt Play Of The Month

AUGUSTA, Ga.  – The GRU Augusta women's volleyball team won the Peach Belt Conference's December Play of the Month for their game-winning point to beat Anderson in the NCAA Southeast Regional on Nov. 20, 2014 at Wingate University in Wingate, N.C.

In the video, junior-setter Alyssa Latham digs an attack to senior Kristen Koch, who sets up freshman Kali Boatwright for the game-winning kill. GRU's winning play is now a finalist for the PBC Play of the Year.

 

The GRU Augusta women's volleyball team made their first NCAA Tournament appearance in the first round of the Division II Southeast Regional Thursday, Nov. 20 and won a 3-2 match over the Anderson Trojans in the Cuddy Arena on the campus of Wingate University in Wingate, N.C. The set scores were (25-23, 27-25, 22-25, 23-25, 15-13).
