Jags Swept On The Road, 3-0

COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Columbus State blanked GRU Augusta 3-0 in straight sets Saturday afternoon in a Peach Belt Conference matchup at Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr., Center.

With the loss, the Jaguars slipped to 6-17 on the season and 1-11 in the PBC. The Cougars, in their first year as a program, improved to 15-7 and 7-4, respectively.

Junior middle hitter Paige Tuttle paced the Jaguars with 11 kills against just three errors for a .444 hitting percentage. Kristen Koch notched a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs. Junior setter Chandler Mass netted 30 assists.

Columbus State was paced by Katie Poole's 15 kills and Erika Gelzinyte turned in 13 kills. Kierston Smith booked 36 assists and Caytlin Merritt produced 14 digs.

GRU Augusta managed a .219 hitting percentage, compared to the Cougars' .303.

The Jags travel to Greenwood, S.C., on Tuesday, Oct. 22 to take on Lander in a PBC matchup at 7:00 p.m., in Finis Horne Arena.
