Tuttle Inks With ASU Volleyball

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State head volleyball coach Sharon Bonaventure announced Friday the signing of Paige Tuttle to a national letter-of-intent. Tuttle is the first recruit to ink with the Jaguars during the Spring, 2011 signing period, which began Wednesday, April 13.

A 6-2 middle hitter from Tampa, Fla., Tuttle helped lead H.B. Plant High School to its second straight Class AAAAA state championship in 2010. She was an All-County selection after registering 87 kills, 84 blocks, 47 digs and a .937 serving percentage. She is also a national level club member for the Tampa United Volleyball Academy.

"We are elated to have Paige and her family to be a part of the ASU Volleyball community," Bonaventure said. "She will definitely provide some size at the net and she brings a winning mentality from one of the top high school volleyball programs in the state."

ASU wrapped up its second season under the direction of Bonaventure on Nov. 12, 2010 with an appearance in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament. The Jags posted a record of 11-22 in 2010, one year after registering the second-most victories in a single season (22) in their first season under Bonaventure.
