AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State rallied from a
set down to post a 3-1 victory Tuesday night over UNC Pembroke in
Peach Belt Conference action at Christenberry Fieldhouse.
With the victory, the Jaguars improved to 10-18 overall and 3-9 in
the PBC while UNCP dropped 18-9 and 5-5 in the league.
Sophomore Mandy Irizarry registered a match-high 17 kills against
just four errors. Junior Jessica Hanson and freshman Karolina
Stenlund notched 11 kills each, while freshman setter Lisa Bartsch
tallied 54 assists. Senior Chase Lowther and freshman Andria
Tagarelli combined for 25 digs. Junior Lagi Roberts added nine
kills and matched Bartsch with nine digs.
Rebecca Morgan paced the Braves with 11 kills and Heather Bolwerk
booked 39 assists. Marissa Baker turned in 24 digs and Bolwerk
managed 11 digs.
ASU hosts Lander on Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 7:00 p.m., in
Christenberry Fieldhouse.
