AIKEN, S.C. -- Augusta State split a pair of
pair of matches on Saturday's day two of the Pacer
Invitational at the Convocation Center on the campus of USC
Aiken.
With the split, the Jaguars' overall record on the season
moved to 9-18.
ASU began the day with a 3-2 victory over Palm Beach Atlantic.
Freshman Karolina Stenlund racked up a match-high 20 kills. Mandy
Irizarry notched 14 kills and 11 digs for sixth double-double of
the season. With 11 kills and 23 digs, Lagi Roberts turned in her
10th double-double. Jessica Hanson managed 12 kills, while senior
Chase Lowther booked a match-high 37 digs. Freshman setter Lisa
Bartsch garnered 58 assists.
In their second match of the day, the Jags fell 3-0 to King
College. Irizarry and Hanson registered eight kills each, while
Roberts (19) and Lowther (15) combined for 34 digs. Freshman setter
Mary Beth Ingram chipped in 17 assists.
ASU hosts UNC Pembroke on Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 7:00 p.m., in
Christenberry Fieldhouse.
