AUGUSTA, Ga. – Anderson dropped its first
set Wednesday night against Augusta State before winning the next
three sets for a 3-1 non-conference victory over the Jaguars in
Christenberry Fieldhouse.
ASU dropped to 7-16 on the season, while the Trojans improved to
15-8 overall.
Freshman middle hitter Karolina Stenlund posted a career-high 15
kills and junior middle hitter Jessica Hanson tallied 12 kills of
her own. Freshman setter Mary Beth Ingram notched 32 assists, while
senior Chase Lowther (13) and junior Lagi Roberts (12) combined for
25 digs.
Anderson senior Jamie Lancaster racked up 24 kills against just
four errors and netted 23 digs. Lindsay Doggett garnered 55 assists
and 15 digs and Adria Mullaney also managed 15 digs.
ASU returns to action this weekend, traveling to Aiken, S.C., to
participate in the Pacer Invitational. The Jags take on Montevallo
(1:00 p.m.) and Coker (3:00 p.m.) on Friday, Oct. 22 and square off
with Palm Beach Atlantic (10:00 a.m.) and King College (2:00 p.m.)
on Saturday.
