ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Flagler posted a 3-0
Peach Belt Conference victory Friday night over Augusta State at
Flagler Gym.
The victory snapped a two-match losing streak for the Saints, who
improved to 17-7 overall and 7-1 in the league. The loss dropped
ASU to 7-13 overall and 2-7 in the PBC.
Freshman Karolina Stenlund paced ASU with nine kills and fellow
freshman Mary Beth Ingram tallied 21 assists. Sophomore Mandy
Irizarry added seven kills and nine digs, and Chase Lowther chipped
in nine digs.
Meg Weathersby recorded a match-high 14 kills for the Saints.
ASU, which dressed just eight players, heads to Savannah, Ga., to
take on Armstrong Atlantic State on Saturday afternoon at 2:00
p.m.
