AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State's Lisa Bartsch earned Peach Belt Conference Specialist Of The Week honors
Monday afternoon, according to a release from the league
office.
A freshman setter from Leverkusen, Germany, Bartsch capped a
spectacular week for the Jaguars with a career-high, 63-assist
effort in a five-set win over Catawba on Saturday, Oct. 2. The 63
assists were the most in any match in the PBC this year and came on
the heels of a 43-assist, 23-dig performance against
Montevallo.
Bartsch became the only player to have more than 40 assists and 20
digs in the same match this year. She also had 40 assists and 14
digs against USC Aiken and averaged 10.42 assists with 3.42 digs
per set on the week. With her efforts, she is now ranked fifth in
the PBC in assists and service aces.
The Jags wrap up a six-match homestand on Wednesday, Oct. 6 when
they host Francis Marion in a league contest at 7:00 p.m., in
Christenberry Fieldhouse.
