Augusta State opened its Peach Belt Conference schedule on the road
Wednesday night, falling 3-1 to UNC Pembroke at the Jones
Center.
UNCP outlasted the Jaguars 26-24 in the first set before ASU
battled back with a 25-10 win in the second set. The Braves then
rallied to clinch the match with 25-13 and 25-22 victories in sets
three and four, respectively.

Roberts paced the Jags offensively, posting her fourth
double-double of the season with 17 kills and 11 digs. Freshman
setter Lisa
Bartsch tallied 30 assists and freshman libero Andria
Tagarelli notched a match-high 22 digs.
The victory lifted UNCP to 7-2 overall and 1-0 in the PBC, while
ASU dropped to 2-7 and 0-1, respectively.
The Jags return to action on Saturday, Sept. 18 traveling to
Florence, S.C., to face PBC foe Francis Marion at 1:00 p.m., and
Belmont Abbey at 3:00 p.m.
