Amanda Youell has joined the Augusta State Volleyball program as an
assistant coach, Jaguar head coach Sharon Bonaventure announced
Wednesday.
A 2010 graduate of East Tennessee State, Youell played three
seasons for the Buccaneers and also was a member of the women's
track team. As a setter, she tallied 1074 assists in 2009 and
recorded 125 kills, 23 service aces and 205 digs. She began her
collegiate career at Jacksonville University in 2006.
The Jags return four starters and eight letterwinners from their
2009 squad that racked up 22 victories -- the second-most in school
history -- and registered the second-best turnaround in a single
season in the 25-year history of the program.
