"I'm very excited about the upcoming season. We have a competitive schedule and we have added some great talent to our roster," head coach Adam Ward said.

Augusta kicks off its seventh season of track and field at the Victor Icebreaker Duals, hosted by Berry College, in Rome, Ga., March 1-2. It is AU's second straight season competing in Berry's event.

The Jaguars return to the Emory Invitational March 22-23 in Atlanta, Ga., for the fifth straight season and the sixth in the last seven years. The teams head to the Mount Olive Trojan Challenge March 29-30 in Mount Olive, N.C. to wrap the month of March.

April will kick off on the campus of Alabama-Huntsville in Huntsville, Ala., for The Peach Belt/Gulf South Crossover April 6. Next up, the Jaguars make a beach trip to Daytona Beach, Fla., to compete at the Peach Belt Conference Championships, hosted by Embry-Riddle, April 18-20.

Augusta heads to the Kennesaw-State hosted Don McGarey Invitational April 26-27 in Kennesaw, Ga., and competes at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla., for the Seminole Twilight meet on Friday, May 3.

The 2019 regular-season concludes for AU in Mount Olive, N.C. at the Mount Olive Last Chance Meet May 10-11. The NCAA Championships will be held in Kingsville, Texas

Coach Ward has recruited new members to both the men's and women's team and has assembled an outstanding group of sprinters and field athletes that he says should compete at a high level. Both teams have been preparing for the spring and learning how to balance school work and training, but Coach Ward has high hopes.

"I am extremely excited to see what this group can accomplish with hard work and by the time we arrive at the conference meet in April. We are young, but very deep. Something that winning on the conference level requires."
