AU Women's Track Ranked Ninth In The Region

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Augusta University women's outdoor track and field team is ranked ninth in the first 2018 regional rankings from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

 

The Jaguars have finished top 10 in their first three meets of the season and have had two top-five finishes – including a runner-up showing to the start the season at the Savannah State Eyeopener on Feb. 24.

 

Augusta joins UNC Pembroke (2nd), North Georgia (5th), and Columbus State (10th) to represent the Peach Belt Conference in the first rankings. The Jags most recently swept the PBC weekly awards with senior Lara Way being named the PBC Track Athlete of the Week and junior Macy Hayes the Field Athlete of the Week on March 14.

 

Next up, the Jags head to Atlanta, Ga. for the Emory Invitational March 23-24.
