Augusta Track & Field Headed To PBC Championship April 20-22
MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Augusta University women's and men's outdoor track and field teams are headed to the postseason and compete in the 2017 Peach Belt Conference Championships April 20-22 in Montevallo, Ala.

The Falcons will welcome seven other institutions for the championships, which run Thursday-Saturday. Augusta University, Clayton State University, Columbus State University, the University of North Georgia and UNC Pembroke, along with Peach Belt Conference associate members Florida Tech and Nova Southeastern University, will join the Falcons to battle for the title of Peach Belt Conference Track and Field Champions.

 

The league's postseason showcase will consist of a full day of events on Thursday and Friday, and will conclude with a partial day of action on Saturday. Single day tickets are $5 for adults, and $3 for children (12 and under), senior citizens and active military and veterans (with identification). Weekend passes are available as well for a discounted price.

 

The front-end events of both the heptathlon and decathlon will kick off on Thursday at 9 a.m., along with field events. The morning session for track events will get started at 10:15 a.m.

 

Friday's activities will begin with additional heptathlon and decathlon events at 9 a.m. The morning track session will get underway at 10 a.m., followed by field events at 11 a.m.

 

Saturday's action is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m., with the awards ceremony slated to be held on Saturday at 1 p.m.
