ATHENS, Ga. – Augusta State junior Dustin Ross took second overall in the Men's 1500 Meter Run and freshman Jordan Herbert notched third in 3000 Meter Steeplechase to lead a cast of Jaguars at the Georgia Relays at the Spec Towns Track on Friday and Saturday, March 15 and 16.
ASU rallied in the team events with the women's 'A' 4x100 Meter Relay of Janikqui Gaines, Jasmine Griffin, Amanda Orr, and Natasha Broughton placing ninth overall in 51.17. The men's 'A' 4x100 Meter Relay took seventh in their event with Kevin Carlie, Levonta Reddick, Micah Herriman and Christian Collier representing the Jags.
Augusta State's men's and women's squads combined for 13 top-ten finishes in Athens. The women's squad welcomed women's basketball seniors Tiffany Jaecks and Tracy Aifuwa, with Jaecks competing in the shot put, hammer throw, and discus throw. While Aifuwa competed in the shot put.
