AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University women's tennis team hosted the Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls to open the 2019 season on Friday afternoon and won 7-0 at Newman Tennis Center.
The Jaguars jumped on top early with three-straight doubles win, followed by six wins in singles play. Collegiate tennis scoring changed for the 2018-19 season in Division II and doubles competition is counted as one point.
Augusta returns to NTC on Saturday, Feb. 2 to meet Coker College in a 11:00 a.m. non-conference match.
