FLORENCE, S.C. – The Augusta University women's tennis squad traveled to the 2019 City of Florence College Tennis Invitational Friday-Saturday, Feb. 8-9. Augusta beat Bluefield State 4-0 on Friday and lost 5-0 to No. 23 Wingate, before beating Lander 4-2.

The Jaguars played their first away match of the season on Friday afternoon with a neutral-site non-conference match against Bluefield State. The Jaguars won 4-0, taking two of three doubles matches to get the one team point and winning three singles matches, while three went unfinished. Merye Gobernate, Alejandra Arranz, and Marie Cantenot all got victories for Augusta in singles to play to seal the victory.
