FLORENCE, S.C. – The Augusta University women's tennis team fell to No. 25 nationally ranked Georgia College 5-0 in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament quarterfinal match. The Jaguars drew the seventh seed and squared off against the second-seeded Bobcats.
Returning to the PBC Championships for the first time since 2015, the Jaguars couldn't match the Bobcats in the 9:00 a.m. match at the Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence Tennis Center.
Four singles matches went unfinished to give GC those wins, after they swept all three doubles matches.
Augusta finishes the season with a 10-10 record and a 3-6 Peach Belt mark, while the match marks the final competition for lone AU senior Amelia Pinoargote.
