AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University women's tennis team didn't drop a set to win an 8-0 non-conference match over Concord University on Tuesday afternoon at Newman Tennis Center.
The Jaguars move to 5-8 on the season with the shutout victory.
Alejandra Gonzalez Arranz won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 singles and those two points were the only ones the Jags dropped all day. Eva Miralles-Miro, Amelia Pinoargote, and Joana Barcelo all won 6-0, 6-0 to dominate the Mountain Lions.
Marie Cantenot won by default at No. 5 singles, after Augusta took all three doubles matches 8-0.
Next up, the Jags host the Montevallo Falcons for a Peach Belt Conference match on Saturday, March 18 for a noon start at Newman Tennis Center.
