YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The Augusta University women's tennis team played its second road match in the Peach Belt Conference on Friday against the Young Harris Mountain Lions and lost an 8-1 match at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
The match moved the Jaguars to 4-6 overall and 0-5 in the Peach Belt, while YHC went to 7-2 overall and 3-1 in the league.
In No. 2 doubles, Augusta got a win from Monica Gonzalez and Amelia Pinoargote who won 8-6 over Oriana Labaqui and Laura Sanchez.
In singles play, YHC was flawless and didn't drop a match.
Augusta hosts a non-conference dual match on Wednesday, March 8 against Wingate at 12:00 p.m. in Newman Tennis Center.
