AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University women's tennis team hosted Belmont Abbey on Thursday afternoon at Newman Tennis Center and survived a 5-4 non-conference match for their fourth-straight win.
It was the first home dual match of the season with the men's squad. Facing his alma mater, head coach Michael McGrath guided the Jaguars (4-0) to a one-point win.
AU is ranked No. 9 in the NCAA Southeast Region and No. 42 in the nation according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
Augusta hosts Emmanuel on Friday, Feb. 10 for a 2:00 p.m. start at Newman Tennis Center in Augusta, Ga.
