AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University women's tennis team hosted the Clark-Atlanta Panthers on Wednesday afternoon at Newman Tennis Center for the 2017 season opener and won 7-2 in the non-conference match
Augusta is now 1-0 on the year with the first victory of the season. Augusta hits the road as the women's and men's teams play Barton College in Sumter, S.C., on Saturday, Feb. 4 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
The Jaguars swept doubles play with Monica Gonzalez and Eva Miralles-Miro winning the No. 1 doubles match, Alejandra Arranz and Merye Gobernate in No. 2, and Marie Cantenot and Amelia Pinoargote in the third and final match.
