AUGUSTA, Ga. – The No. 48 nationally-ranked Jaguars met the No. 1 team in the nation, the Armstrong Pirates, on Tuesday and fell 9-0 in a Peach Belt Conference dual match at Newman Tennis Center.
The Jaguars moved to 14-4 overall and 7-4 in the Peach Belt, while the Armstrong Pirates moved to 20-0 and 9-0 in the league.
GRU Augusta battled with the Pirates, who continue their undefeated season, but couldn't find a way to get a win over top-ranked ASU. The Jaguars play at Lander for a Peach Belt Conference match this Thursday, April 2 in Greenwood, S.C., for a 2:00 p.m. start.
