Jaguar Netters Headed To Regionals

AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Augusta State women's and men's tennis teams earned at-large bids to the NCAA Southeast Regional in an announcement from the NCAA on Tuesday night.

With the selections, the ASU men's squad will be making its 12th appearance all-time, its 10th in the last 13 seasons and its eighth in the last nine years. The Lady Jaguars will be making their ninth postseason appearance in the last 14 seasons. Both ASU squads are in their 15th season under head coach Michael McGrath.

The Lady Jags are headed to the Savannah, Ga., regional site and will take on fourth-seeded Georgia College on Saturday, April 28 at 10:00 a.m., at Bacon Park.

Ranked No. 14 nationally, the ASU men's squad was one seven PBC teams to advance to postseason. The Peach Belt is the only Division II conference to place seven teams in the field -- no other league has more than five.

The Jags, seeded sixth, will take on No. 3 seed Lander on Saturday, April 27 at 1:00 p.m.
