Jaguars in 14th after Two Rounds of Windy City Collegiate Champ.

Golf, Ill. – The Augusta Jaguars Women's Golf team sits in 14th place after the first day of the Windy City Collegiate Championship. The Jags shot a combined 601 (+25 over par) through two rounds on the par 72 course. Florida finished the day in first place at -10 under par shooting a combined 566, while South Carolina sits in second, only one stroke back, at 567. Southern California finished the first two rounds only two strokes off the lead in third to round out the top three in the field of 15.

Maria Villanueva-Aperribay and Teresa Diez-Moliner were the top Jags on the course as they both finished their days with a score of 150 (+6 over par) and in a tie for 48th place. Villanueva-Aperribay had a rough start in the first round, going +5 over par with a score of 77. In the second round however, she made up ground only going one over par with a 73, the lowest single round score for the Jags. Diez-Moliner shot a 74 to start in the first round, before going +4 over in the second round to put her alongside Villanueva-Aperribay.

Linda Lundqvist sit one stroke back of the two Jag leaders with a 151 in a tie for 54th overall, while Napabhach Boon-In finished the day in 64th with a score of 153. Charlotte Alran ended the day only four strokes back of Augusta's top two with a score of 154.
