RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico – The Augusta University women's golf head team returns to competition after a three and half month break at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic, Feb. 11-13, at Rio Mar Country Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.

Head Coach Caroline Hegg's crew opens the 2018 portion of the season at the three-day event hosted by Purdue. It is the fifth season in a row that the Jags have competed in Puerto Rico.

"We're looking forward to beginning our spring with great competition down in Puerto Rico," Hegg said. "The team has been qualifying hard for three weeks, and we're doing everything possible to prepare ourselves physically and mentally."

AU sophomore Charlotte Alran led the Jaguars in 2017 at the LPRI – finishing 30th in the field of 80. The Jags' best finish in Puerto Rico came in 2014 when they placed runner-up in the 15-team field.
