Augusta Women’s Golf Releases 2017-18 Schedule

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University women's golf head coach Caroline Heggrevealed the 2017-18 schedule on Tuesday morning. The Jaguars' slate features four fall tournaments and six spring events including the 13th annual 3M Augusta Invitational, hosted by the Jags at Forest Hills Golf Club.

"The increased competitiveness of this year's schedule should complement our young, strong team very well," Hegg said. "We've added a few events outside of the southeast that our players will enjoy and that will also improve our competiveness nationwide."

 

Coming off their fourth straight trip to the NCAA Regional Championship, Augusta opens in Woodlands, Texas Sept. 11-12 at the Jim West Challenge. Next up is the Lady Paladin Invitational, hosted by Furman in Greenville, S.C., Sept 22-24. The Jaguars close their early season schedule by heading to the Magnolia Cup in West Point, Miss., Oct 2-3 and the Ladies Fall Intercollegiate in Atlanta, Ga., Oct. 27-29.

 

Hegg's crew continues play and opens 2018 Feb. 11-13 at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic, hosted by Purdue, in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. It is the fifth season in a row that the Jags have competed in Puerto Rico. Augusta continues at Louisville's home event, the Moon Golf Invitational, Feb. 19-20 in Melbourne, Fla. After a week pause, the Jaguars head to Tucson, Ariz., for the Wildcat Invitational March 5-6.

 

Augusta hosts the 13th annual 3M Augusta Invitational March 16-18 at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga. Augusta welcomes top Division I teams from across the nation for the three-day event. The squad keeps it in Georgia with their third-straight trip to the Henssler Financial Intercollegiate March 26-27, hosted by Kennesaw State, in Kennesaw, Ga.

 

A trip to Purdue's Lady Boilermaker in West Lafayette, Ind., April; 14-15 wraps up the regular season for Augusta. The NCAA Regionals will be held May 7-9 at four different sites around the nation. The NCAA Championships last May 18-23
