AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University women's golf team remained towards the top of the leaderboard at the 3M Augusta Invitational and finished tied for second with No. 21 Purdue out of 15 teams at Forest Hills Golf Club. The Jaguars shot their lowest score of the round with a 287 (-1) on Sunday to end their home event 9-over-par.

Augusta was in third place after 36 holes and battled Purdue down to the wire to share second place. It is AU's lowest finish of the 2017-18 season.

"We got better every day as a team, which is always our goal and that's how you compete to win," Augusta head coach Caroline Hegg said. "We were playing with two really good teams today and we beat them both head-to-head for the total day score. We did our part. Unfortunately Georgia was a little too far ahead of us, but we had a great tournament to have an under-par round to close it out."  (FULL STORY)
