Women’s Golf 13th After 36 Holes In Puerto Rico

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico – The Augusta University women's golf team moved to 13th place through two rounds in the Lady Puerto Rico Classic at Rio Mar Country Club River Course in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico on Tuesday.

 

 

Furman (+7) held on to their day-one lead and sit atop the 15-team leaderboard. Kent State (+10) is second, TCU third (+14), Arkansas fourth (+15), and Georgia, NC State, and Michigan are tied for fifth to highlight the leaderboard.

 

The Augusta Jaguars dropped two shots on Monday and shot 303 (+15) as a team.

 

Senior Jessica Haigwood and freshman Charlotte Alran each posted a one-over 73 in round two for AU. Haigwood is tied for 23rd and Alran 32nd in her first college tournament.

 

Augusta senior Eunice Yi fired 78 (+6) and is tied for 53rd, freshman Lind Lundqvist a 79 (+7) for 58th, and senior Josefine Nyqvist is tied for 73 overall.

 

The Jags finish the LPRC on Tuesday Feb. 14 with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start.
