AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference released the 2018-19 All-Conference team on Friday night at the tournament banquet and Augusta University freshman Asia Harrison was voted the PBC Freshman of the Year.

Asia Harrison (2018-19 Freshman of the Year)

Asia Harrison started in 25 games for Augusta in her first collegiate season and played in all 28 games. The guard from Valdosta, Ga., was tied for third on the team in scoring, was second in assists and led the Jaguars in steals. Ranked among the PBC's top 20 in three-point field goal percentage, she had 10 games of double-digit points with two games at 20+ including a career-best 26 at Georgia College on Feb. 16; a game that saw her hit 6 of 7 three-pointers, the fourth-highest single-game 3-point percentage in the league this season. Harrison becomes the second Augusta player to be named the PBC Freshman of the Year, the first since Lawanna Monday in 1995.
