Augusta Beats Columbus State 75-63 At Home

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University women's basketball team played the Columbus State Cougars on Saturday afternoon and prevailed 75-63 in a Peach Belt Conference game in Christenberry Fieldhouse.

Augusta was on top 35-33 at halftime and never looked back to take the win at home. With the victory, the Jaguars snapped a three game losing streak and got their fourth conference victory of the year.

 

Freshman Kiera Howard had 18 points to lead the Jaguars and senior Kaela Patrick added 16 points. Howard added nine rebounds and six assists, while freshman Asia Harrison added nine points and senior Brianna Middleton eight points and seven rebounds.

 

The Jaguars head to UNC Pembroke on Wednesday, Feb. 13 for a 5:30 p.m. PBC game to kick off a three game road stretch. Augusta plays ta Georgia College (Feb. 16) and Clayton State (Feb. 18) before return home to host Francis Marion (Feb. 20) and Georgia Southwestern (Feb. 23).
