Augusta Women’s Basketball Welcomes Cameryn Wilson For 2018-19

AUGUSTA, Ga. –Augusta University women's head basketball coach Millette Green announced that incoming junior-transfer Cameryn Wilson has joined the Jaguars and will be on the 2018-19 roster. Green announced her latest addition on Wednesday from Augusta, Ga.

Position: Guard

Height: 5-7

Hometown / Previous School: Newport News, Va. / Odessa College

"Cameryn will bring some experience to our back court. She has the ability to stretch the defense with her outside shot, as well as attack off the bounce. I love her competitiveness and toughness on the defensive end."

 

Wilson will assist the Jaguars from the guard position, as she joins the team as a junior from Odessa College in Odessa, Texas. A Newport News, Va., native, Wilson played in 33 of the teams 34 games as a sophomore in 2017-18, after she transferred from Franklin Pierce University following the 2016-17 season.

 

She graduated from Woodside High School in Newport News, Va., in 2016 and picked up several All-Conference honors. Wilson joins eight other 2018-19 signees who have been announced. She plans to study kinesiology at Augusta University.
