Jags Announce Fifth Annual Hoops For Heroes Blood Drive Challenge Feb. 19

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University Athletics and the Shepeard Community Blood Center will host the fifth annual Hoops for Heroes Blood Drive Challenge to benefit the local blood supply on Monday, Feb. 19 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Jaguar Student Activities Center (JSAC) on Summerville Campus. 

 

To donate on behalf of the Augusta Jaguars, stop by the two bloodmobiles near the JSAC on Summerville Campus on Feb. 19 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Participants in the on-campus blood drive are invited to enjoy free pizza from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the bloodmobile unit!

 

Those who wish to donate and can't make it on campus, can show up at any Shepeard Community Blood Center from February 12-20 to make a donation on behalf of the Jaguars.

 

Hoops For Heroes is a competition between Augusta University and USC Aiken to see who can donate the most blood. All donors will receive a free Hoops For Heroes t-shirt and pizza will be provided from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the blood drive.

 

The winning school will be announced on Wednesday, Feb. 24 during the men's basketball game between Augusta and USC Aiken.
