Women’s Hoops Early Signee Sydney Grayden Garners All-State Accolades

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University 2017-18 women's basketball early signee Sydney Grayden picked up numerous awards during her senior season at Greenbrier High School. Grayden received All-State honors from the Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC), the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association (GACA), and the Augusta Chronicle.    

 

Augusta announced the signing of Grayden on Nov. 22, 2016 in the National Letter of Intent (NLI) early signing period.

Grayden was one of 12 to be named All-State by the GACA in the Class 6A – South  division for her play in the 2016-17 season. The Augusta Chronicle named her to the Georgia Girls All-Area Team with a second-team showing and the forward/center from Evans, Ga., earned an honorable mention from the AJC as well.

 

Grayden averaged a double-double in her senior season at Greenbrier with 11.8 points per game and 12.1 rebounds per game. She also added 2.2 blocks and 1.7 steals a night in her final high school season.
